The coworking space of “Young People for Haifa” continues to operate even during emergencies

In days when reality in Israel once again reminds us of the importance of being prepared for any scenario, there are things that should not stop.

In days when reality in Israel once again reminds us of the importance of being prepared for any scenario, there are things that should not stop. Work, studies, meetings, new initiatives, and community life - all of these help us remain resilient and keep moving forward even in difficult times.

It is with this understanding that the open community space of the NGO “Young People for Haifa” was created.

Our space, located at Harav Ohana 4 in Haifa, remains open today as well. Here, everyone can find a safe, comfortable, and welcoming place to work, study, meet others, or simply change their environment for a few hours and spend time among people.

One of the key advantages of the space is that it has its own bomb shelter located directly inside the office. In case of an alarm, there is no need to go outside or search for the nearest shelter. All visitors can quickly move to the protected area and resume their activities once the alert is over.

The space is equipped with everything needed for comfortable work:

  1. High-speed fiber-optic internet
  2. Comfortable workstations
  3. Meeting and collaboration areas
  4. Free coffee and tea
  5. An active community of young people, students, entrepreneurs, and new immigrants

But our space is much more than just desks, internet, and coffee.

Since its opening, it has become a meeting point for hundreds of young residents of Haifa, new immigrants, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and community activists. New projects, professional connections, friendships, and initiatives that make the city better are born here.

It is precisely in times like these that the value of community becomes especially clear.

We cannot influence what happens outside our walls. But we can open our doors to people who need to maintain their routine, continue working, studying, and feel the support of those around them.

Because even in times of uncertainty, life goes on.

And a strong community begins with a place where people come together.
